Donate to Help Nikki

Thank you for viewing my blog!

I am immigrating to Sydney, Australia in January 2009 to teach at the University of Western Sydney. As I am moving there permanently, I have created this blog to raise money to defray the shipping and quarantine costs for my lovable cat, Nikki.

The shipping and quarantine costs are 2,000 US$. Due to fees associated with my application for a permanent visa and other moving-related expenses, I came to the agonizing decision that I would have to part with my beloved cat.

However, after posting ads on the internet and in local pet stores, I have been unable to find Nikki a good home. A friend who has much experience in facilitating cat adoptions suggested that I try to raise the money instead.

The following people have generously pledged to the Kitty Down Under Fund:

Luis "Ouisie" Gonzalez

Any amount is greatly appreciated. As you can see, it adds up! I will be updating this list as more donations come in.

HOW TO DONATE:

Option 1:
If you have a paypal account, you can simply log in and send your donation to kittydownunderfund@gmail.com. If you do not have paypal, it's really easy to set up a FREE account. It allows you to send money without revealing your bank account information to the payee. It's completely safe! Go to paypal.com to create an account.

IMPORTANT: paypal deducts 2.9% + $0.30 USD if you pay by credit card. So you may prefer Option 2 below.

Option 2:
Email me at kittydownunderfund@gmail.com and I will respond with an address where you can send a check (I do not want to post it on this site for security reasons).

Option 3:
If you work with me at UCLA, you can also give your donation to me personally.

SPREAD THE WORD!
